SEA BUCKTHORN FRUIT OIL
Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil

Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil is one of the most visually distinctive oils in skincare. Its naturally intense golden-orange color comes from its extraordinary concentration of carotenoids, the antioxidant pigments responsible for the vivid colors of many fruits and vegetables. But its real distinction is its unusually high concentration of palmitoleic acid, commonly known as Omega-7—a fatty acid naturally present in human skin lipids but relatively rare in botanical oils.
Omega-7 helps support the lipids responsible for the skin’s softness, flexibility and protective barrier. Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil also contains oleic and linoleic acids, phytosterols, tocopherols and carotenoids, creating an impressive combination of lipid replenishment and antioxidant protection. Sea Buckthorn has also attracted scientific interest for skin regeneration and repair, with research exploring its effects on inflammation, oxidative stress, wound healing and processes involving fibroblasts and collagen.
For aging skin, that combination is particularly compelling. Oxidative stress contributes to the deterioration of collagen and elastin, eventually appearing as fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness and reduced elasticity. Sea Buckthorn’s carotenoids and vitamin E compounds provide antioxidant defense, while its Omega-7-rich lipids replenish dry, depleted skin.
For skin that looks dry, dull, tired or less resilient, Sea Buckthorn can help restore softness, suppleness and flexibility while roughness and fine dryness lines appear smoother. Skin feels richer and more comfortable and can appear smoother, more resilient and beautifully luminous.
In AFTERGLOW™, Sea Buckthorn Fruit Oil brings something none of its other botanicals quite replicate: Omega-7, carotenoid-rich antioxidant protection and a powerful skin-restoration story—along with the naturally beautiful golden color of the oil itself.
The color isn't added. It comes from the botanicals themselves.
