JOJOBA
Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil

Jojoba is unlike almost every other botanical oil in skincare because technically, it isn't an oil at all. It is a liquid wax, composed primarily of long-chain wax esters that resemble components naturally present in human sebum. This gives Jojoba an exceptional affinity with the skin—but its benefits go considerably further.
Research using human skin tissue has shown topical Jojoba can stimulate production of hyaluronic acid and pro-collagen III, two components associated with hydration, skin structure and repair. Jojoba has also demonstrated anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity, with research exploring its role in skin recovery and wound healing.
Its liquid-wax structure gives Jojoba an exceptionally silky, satin-like feel while helping reduce moisture loss. Dry, rough skin feels softer and more flexible, tightness is relieved, and improved hydration can soften the appearance of fine dehydration lines without leaving skin feeling heavily coated.
The Jojoba shrub itself thrives in the Sonoran Desert, where Indigenous peoples traditionally used its golden liquid wax to care for skin and hair in an environment defined by intense sun, heat and extreme dryness.
In J21, Jojoba brings together skin-compatible wax esters, hyaluronic-acid and pro-collagen III research, anti-inflammatory support and an exceptionally silky finish—leaving dry, depleted skin smoother, more supple and beautifully conditioned without heaviness.
