N-ACETYL GLUCOSAMINE
N-Acetyl Glucosamine | NAG

N-Acetyl Glucosamine, often called NAG, is a naturally occurring amino sugar and one of the more fascinating ingredients for uneven skin tone, dark spots and dullness. It has been studied for its ability to help reduce the appearance of excess pigmentation while also supporting hydration and healthy skin renewal.
The brightening research is particularly compelling. In an eight-week clinical study, topical N-Acetyl Glucosamine significantly improved the appearance of facial hyperpigmentation. Even more impressive, clinical research pairing NAG with niacinamide found greater improvements in uneven pigmentation and visible spots, making the two especially interesting for skin affected by discoloration.
NAG also supports the skin’s natural production of hyaluronic acid, giving it another important benefit: hydration. Better hydrated skin appears plumper and smoother, which can also help soften the look of fine dehydration lines and restore luminosity. For skin that looks dull, uneven or marked by discoloration, NAG helps promote a complexion that appears brighter, clearer, smoother and more even-toned.
In HALO™, N-Acetyl Glucosamine is paired with Niacinamide, bringing together two beautifully complementary ingredients with clinical research behind their brightening and skin-evening benefits.
