MARULA OIL

Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil

Marula Oil, Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil

Pressed from the kernels of the Marula tree of Southern Africa, Marula Oil has traditionally been used to care for skin exposed to a hot, dry climate. Its modern appeal is backed by something relatively unusual for a botanical oil: clinical research directly on human skin.

Marula is exceptionally rich in oleic acid, along with palmitic, linoleic and palmitoleic fatty acids. In human testing on lipid-dry skin, Marula significantly improved moisturization and hydration and demonstrated an occlusive effect, helping slow the escape of moisture from the skin. That makes Marula particularly valuable for skin that feels genuinely depleted—dry, tight, rough or no longer as plush as it once was. It doesn't simply add surface slip; its rich lipids help replenish and seal, leaving skin feeling cushioned, deeply conditioned and noticeably softer.

For mature or persistently dry skin, that richer lipid environment helps soften rough texture and fine dryness lines while restoring the plump, velvety quality that can diminish as skin becomes drier with age.

In AFTERGLOW™, Marula is the deep lipid replenisher: clinically studied moisture, reduced moisture loss and rich conditioning for skin that needs more than lightweight hydration.
