JASMINE SAMBAC
Jasminum Sambac Flower Extract

Jasmine is one of perfumery’s most sensual flowers, prized for an intoxicating scent that is lush, warm, floral and almost narcotic. Native to tropical Asia and deeply woven into Indian and Southeast Asian beauty and fragrance traditions, Sambac is richer and more seductive than the lighter jasmine notes many people know.
Its unmistakable character comes from a complex mixture of naturally occurring aromatic compounds, including benzyl acetate, linalool and indole. Indole is particularly fascinating: in tiny amounts, it gives Jasmine Sambac that warm, almost skin-like sensuality beneath the flower—the quality that makes true jasmine smell so much more complex than a simple floral fragrance.
Jasmine Sambac also contains naturally occurring phenolic compounds and flavonoids, and research has demonstrated antioxidant activity in extracts of the plant. Its botanical compounds have also been studied for anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activity, adding another dimension to a flower most people know primarily for its extraordinary scent. It is one of those rare ingredients that makes caring for your skin feel like something more: beautiful botanical skincare with a scent that stays close to the skin.
In HALCYON™ Jasmine Sambac creates the oil’s intimate fragrance. As the oil warms against the skin, its rich floral character meets the cool botanical note of Blue Tansy, creating something warm and quietly sensual rather than traditionally perfumed.
