CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE
Fractionated Coconut

Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is a refined, lightweight emollient made primarily from caprylic and capric fatty acids, typically derived from coconut, combined with glycerin. Although its origins are botanical, it behaves very differently from traditional coconut oil: it is lighter, silkier and exceptionally elegant on the skin.
Its greatest benefit is moisture retention. Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride forms a delicate protective layer at the skin's surface that helps slow transepidermal water loss (TEWL)—the everyday evaporation of water from the skin. Human research on a moisturizer containing Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride has demonstrated increased skin hydration and reduced water loss.
For skin experiencing dryness, dehydration, rough texture or tightness, that ability to hold onto moisture can make the surface feel noticeably softer and smoother. It also fills the microscopic spaces between dry surface cells, helping create a more refined, silky texture and reducing the rough feel that often accompanies dehydrated skin.
Unlike traditional coconut oil, it delivers that conditioning effect without a dense or waxy finish. Skin feels soft, supple and comfortably moisturized, with the smooth, fluid finish that makes HALCYON™ feel so beautiful on the complexion.
